Éanna’s Tamron Manning has begun the season in exceptional form, top-scoring in all 3 games so far, and then dropping a whopping 31 points at the weekend in their big 95-75 win over DCU Saints.  That victory followed on from their fantastic win over Super League Champions Black Amber Templeogue the previous week, as Pat Glover’s side look to improve on their 9th place finish last season. Manning, a 6’ 5” point-guard said it was a tough game against DCU, “The game went really good. DCU is a scrappy, tough team and we had to bring our best game on the night to beat them.” “No matter how much you get ahead of them they will not stop fighting which makes for a tough game.” With many new faces at the club this season, including himself, Manning is delighted with the way things are developing, “This is all new to us since half our team was not on the team last year. Éanna began their Super League campaign on Sunday afternoon at the ALSAA Sports Complex, and new American centre Mlynue Reeves began his professional basketball career after graduating from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately for Reeves, he ended up on the losing side as Griffith Swords Thunder came out on top 91-66.  The 6'8" big-man is currently studying Management Principles at the Dublin Business School and he's looking forward to another challenge having had challenges throughout his life, "I love a good challenge, from deciding to leave home when I was 14 to going to boarding school. Then off to college at Gettysburg, I've always wanted to push myself. As you can see moving to Dublin to play basketball for Éanna and studying at Dublin Business School is just another example."
